Sony DVD Walkman: Right Form Factor; Wrong Function?

When I first saw these pictures, I thought that Sony finally jumped in to the UMPC/Origami bandwagon but boy was I wrong! I turns out that these are the new Sony DVD Walkman DVP-FX810 and D-VE7000S -- in plain English, they are overpriced portable DVD players! There is already a slew of portable DVD players in the market today and I don't think slapping the "Walkman" badge on these players will make a lot of difference considering that the no-name hardware manufacturers have already been churning these gadgets out like crazed rabbits.

I have to admit that the one with a cradle looks pretty good but I don't see it in my table at all considering that I can get a better and larger DVD player for probably less than what these would cost.
