Are Globe Telecoms subscribers being victimized by "social engineers" (as we fondly call them "phishermen")? They sent out this SMS Advisory to their subscribers:

BEWARE of CALLS of TEXT that request for ur personal information like Name, Address, Contact no. The sources of these calls and text messages may not be trusted. Pls report any suspicious activity to our 211 toll-free no to validate. Reported cases shall be investigated.

Well, this advisory is timely considering that "phishing" scams not only happen online but also in "real life".
