INQ7.Net Reports: Cell phone penetration rate seen to peak at 50%
A recent news item at inq7.net says that local cellphone penetration rate has peaked at 50%. According to the report, people are prioritizing their basic needs over getting cellular phones. This seemingly bleak news may bring a silver lining to current cellphone users. If the growth rate on cellular phones has reach a plateau, then telcos will have no choice but to launch more consumer-friendly promos to keep their subcribers with them.
And here I am thinking that Pinoys has finally found a way to use a cellphone that is cut in half... :)
