Here's the good news: Original Kingston SD/MiniSD/MicroSD cards are available at insanely low prices at Glorieta Activity Center!  I got a 2Gb MicroSD for only Php 670 (approximately $16.50).

The bad news is the sale ends today. :(  bummer
