Wifi for the Masses? (Wifi ng Bayan)
Since there's not a lot of things to do at the office today, I've been surfing overtime. One of the sites I saw today is pretty interesting. It is called Wifi ng Bayan and it literally means "Wifi for the Masses". Looking closely, this *may* indeed be a service for the masses since it only costs Php 900 a month (less than US$16 per month). Okay, its not that cheap but it is the cheapest I've found so far.
Reading further into the website, I found out that this service is so far only available in Valle Verde -- a posh subdivision where the "masses" they promise to serve is nowhere to be found...
Oh, and one more thing... Initial cash outlay is Php 5,000 and its supposed to include its antenna(?), cable and a broadband router.
