Open Source Alternative to MS Visual Studio
While doing my usual "hunting" for useful Free and Open Source (FOSS) applications and programs I can use either personally or professionally, I chanced upon this website that offers a free alternative to the MS Visual Studio. This Open Source is called the "#develop" or "SharpDevelop".
It is fully compatible with Microsoft's .NET (.NET 1.1, .NET 1.0 and .NET 2.0) framework and its user interface looks a lot like the very expensive MS Visual Studio. I'll give the links to the software development team at my office (I've sworn off programming a long time ago so I wouldn't know squat about this) and echo their feedback here once they start evaluating this.
