15th Birthday of the WWW
August 6th went by without any much fanfare. It was actually a lazy Sunday for most of us but 15 years ago, Tim Berners-Lee posted links to the codes of the "www" to the alt.hypertext newsgroup. The idea of the posting is to insulate the users of a network from the underlying technology behind their system but instead deal directly with data. Derivatives of that original code still lives on today as we enter "http://" on our browsers.
Here's to 15,000,000,000 more years to the web!
