Softick Audio Gateway: Wireless Music for Palm!
One of the complaints I hear from fellow Treo650 users is its inability to stream music wirelessly to a bluetooth headset. Although I don't see a real need for this, I feel their "pain" since there's already bluetooth on the Treo 650 and there was a time when a bluetooth headset was even packaged with it but there's no way to stream music from the phone to the headset.
After a few months of searching (as requested by an officemate who bought a Treo several months before I did), I found a solution: the Softick Audio Gateway. According to the site, "Softick Audio Gateway is the first Bluetooth audio streaming solution for Palm OS handhelds which allows to connect to the Bluetooth strero headphones and listen to digital audio played by Palm OS applications".
I downloaded the evaluation and tried this piece of software but unfortunately, the bundled Bluetooth headset of the Treo 650 does not support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) so I can't really test the validity of softick's claims. Nevertheless, this is welcome news to people who are looking for this functionality.
