Dualcor cPC: A Geek's Wet Dream

Popular Science: The Goods: March 2006

This is how I would summarize the Dualcor cPC: "A Geek's Wet Dream". This baby has two processors, a 400 MHz processor for "light" computing tasks that can be handled by Windows Mobile, and a 1.5 GHz processor that runs Windows XP Tablet PC Edition for handling more processor-intensive tasks. Its display has a resolution of 800 X 480 and its supposed to be capable of switching between Windows Mobile and XP with zero lag-time and battery life is pegged between eight to twelve hours. There's no word if it has wi-fi and/or BlueTooth and if there are provisions for connecting an external keyboard and mouse to it but it does have a mini-VGA connector which allows it to be connected to external monitors and overhead projectors.

This doesn't come cheap. The SRP is reported to be at $1,500 (around Php 80,000) but with its promised features and functions, I'm sure a lot of moneyed Geeks wouldn't think twice before getting one. I won't mind having one too. ;)
