Intel's UMPC: Set to replace the PDA?
Intel to unveil ultra-mobile PC on 7 March | Reg Hardware
Hot in the heels of the Microsoft-led viral marketing campaign called "Project Origami", Intel is set to announce its Ultra Mobile PC. Based on what I've seen so far, the UMPC and Project Origami are one and the same -- a device poised to be positioned between the PDA and a full-blown PC. Based on the video leaked about Project Origami, it is envisioned as an all-in-one device (computer, music/media player, telephone, gaming device, remote control, storage device, etc) that someone can bring with them anywhare.
As I've said in my previous post: if this does come into fruition, then we may be in the verge of yet another "revolution". I sure hope that they market this product (Origami/UMPC) well and I bet that it will hit the market by storm considering that the PDA is, in my opinion, on its way "out".
