PointyRemote: Control Your PC through the NDS
This may fall under the "what's the point" department of this blog. Some Nintedo DS hombrewer has deviced a way to remotely control a PC through the... you guessed it: Nintendo DS using a program called "PointyRemote". The POC (proof-of-concept) looks absoslutely wicked but I can't see any *real world* practical use for this. the screen(s) is too small to be productive on but it can probably be used to do some remote system monitoring or probably to control a media player program. But doing a full-blown word processing or spreadsheet will probably be really "painful" (I know because I attempted to administer a Windows 2003 server using my Treo650 + PalmVNC and it was not a really pleasant experience).
Anyway, whoever did this deserves to pat himself at the back because pulling it off is not an easy thing to do. Plus, the "oooh, aaah" factor of showing this thing off would be more than enough to boost his ego up the roof.
