Webaroo: Search the 'Net Even If You're Disconnected
Webaroo, according to its website, allows users to search the web even when the computer is offiline (not connected to the internet). Using a small download, Webaroo downloads a subset of the 'net (they call these "Web packs") and makes it available for searching. I haven't tested this service but I would *love* to have an offline copy of Wikipedia on my hard drive so that I can do searches faster.
A notable feature of Webaroo is its ability to connect to other devices such as other computers and handhelds to search the "web packs" on a local webaroo "library" within your personal network.
