OpenDNS: Safer Surfing is Just a Tweak Away

OpenDNS is a website that promises faster and more secure web surfing. It does that by having a faster and better maintained DNS servers. They have servers in several geographical locations that ensures quick response to DNS queries. It offers security by intercepting phishing attempts through their partnerships with various security organizations.

To use OpenDNS, there is no need to download and install any software. What needs to be done is to point your machine to the OpenDNS servers (using the following IP addresses as your primary & secondary DNS address: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) and that's it.
