Good News: Palm Treo 700wx Released; Bad News: Palm Treo 700wx Released

Great news! Palm has released an upgrade to their Palm Treo 700w! Its called the Palm Treo 700wx. What's so different about the "wx"? Well, for one it has double the memory of the original (64 MB instead of 32 MB) plus its ability to be used as an EVDO modem out-of-the box.

The bad news? Well, its the same old hardware so if there are any problems with the 700w, it will still be a problem with the 700wx. It is still CDMA so we have to *really* wait for Palm's upcoming announcement of a GSM Treo in the middle of September (2006). Its still running Windows so for those are not too happy with Windows Mobile, they won't be jumping for joy with this piece of news.
