Seitz 6 x 17 Digital: 160 Megapixel Camera

Someone is really pushing the megapixel envelope when they created the Seitz 6 x 17 digital camera. This outstanding piece of equipment can take a picture with a whopping 160 megapixel resolution, its ISO setting ranges from 500 to 10,000 and a maximum shutter speed of 1/20,000th second.

Will the typical pro photographer even dream of getting this for themselves? For starters, this camera costs a whopping 26,900 Euros, images taken by the Seitz 6 x 17 can go up to 1 gigabyte per high resolution image. And the biggest dealbreaker of all -- its physical dimension!

Would a professional photographer be caught dead lugging a camera like that?

Anyway, according to its website, the Seitz 6 x 17 will be available in 2007.
