iPhone SIM Unlock For Free!

The people at iPhoneSIMFree.com is collectively banging their heads on the wall of their office as the free full SIM unlock for the iPhone has been achieved and will presumably become available for *free* in the next couple of hours.

Say hello to iPhone.

Gizmodo reports that the iPhone Dev Team has just cracked the iPhone wide open (figuratively of course) to allow non-AT&T SIM cards to be used on it. What does this mean? This means that the iPhone has now been unshackeld from the virtual monopoly of AT&T. This means that iPhoneSIMFree's business model is flushed down the toilet. This means that eager iPhone owner wannabees will finally get their hands on an iPhone that actually works on the telephone network of their choice!

HAPPY DAY!

Oh, and this news will *not*, i repeat, will not make me buy an iPhone at this point in time. I'd rather get a "kosher" unit that is made specifically for this region and hopefully, that unit will already be 3G capable (wishing it would be HSDPA too) no hacking will be required to use it.

Yeah, as of now, I'd rather get an iPod touch.
