Update 2: WINDOWS VULNERABILY ALERT (12-28-2005)

There is a CNN Report that Microsoft is working overtime to have a patch for this serious vulnerability ready by January 10, 2006. The sad part of this update is Microsoft is still trying to downplay the possible effects of this latest security hole (a gaping one at that) and says "...the scope of the attack is limited."

Well and good *if* all Windows users is able to update their systems immediatly after the release of the patch. It is a well known fact that not all Windows users are savvy enough to keep their system updated and there's this issue if the Windows "Genuine Advantage" program that does not allow updates to Windows that came from *ehem* questionable sources.
