Ubuntu Founder "Live" in the Philippines

A breath of fresh air. That's what I thought when I saw the news item at inq7.net about the visit of Mark Shuttleworth, founder of Ubuntu, here in the Philippines. We have been barraged with live performances of over the hill performers (The Platters, The Lettermen, The Cascades, The Zombies... are we becoming the dumping grounds of geriatric boy bands?) and this visit at least is not to make money out of baby boomers but to educate people on the open source movement that is sweeping the planet.

I wish more people buys into this movement and start to use the freely available Ubuntu Linux instead of spending thousands of pesos in an OS then spend a couple of thousands more for protecting and using it.
