Casio G'zOne: Takes a Poundin' Keeps on Textin'

My next "dream phone" will not come from Nokia, Sony Ericsson nor Motorola. It will not run PalmOS nor Windows Mobile and it won't even come with BlueTooth.

It however can withstand being dunked in the bathtub, swim on a pool or, heaven forbid, take a dive on a toilet bowl!

Made by Casio, the G'zOne is a rugged phone that can take almost every abuse a careless dork can dish out. It even takes pictures under water! Too bad it does not have any way to directly interface with a computer but it can be used as some sort of a MODEM to connect to wireless broadband networks.

Sounds too good to be true? Well, it probably is since the G'zOne is so far CDMA only (notice the lack of a SIM slot on the picture) and I can only hope that Casio makes a GSM version of this tough phone ASAP!
